Tennis & Badminton Stringing Machine

PS-Discovery

Make stringing part of your routine.

Get the highlights.

Three racket sports.
One stringing station.

From your tennis racket to badminton and squash, handle all three on one PS-Discovery. Adjust the supports and clamps to suit the frame, then set the tension for the racket and string. Use tennis mode for tennis rackets, and badminton mode for both badminton and squash. One place to set up, string and get ready for your next game.

Close-up of mounting knobs and racket supports

Choose the supports. Secure the racket.

Check the mounting kit for your tennis, badminton or squash racket, then adjust the supports and clamps. Secure the frame before stringing.

Your part: mount the racket, check the supports and confirm its stringing requirements.

Setting stringing parameters on the machine touchscreen

Set up this string job.

Set target tension, pulling speed, pre-stretch and knot tension on the machine touchscreen. Choose a tension within 11–75 lb according to the racket and string requirements.

Your choice: target tension and stringing settings, matched to the racket, string and operating instructions.

An operator routing and clamping string on a mounted racket

The machine pulls. You keep stringing.

Route the string correctly and let the electronic tensioning system pull it. The turntable locks automatically during every pull; complete clamping and the following steps as directed in the manual.

Your part: route the string, clamp it and reposition the clamps. Electronic tensioning and automatic locking assist those steps.

Finish with the final knot.

Tie off and unmount the racket as instructed, then inspect the strings, knots and frame. Clear the work area for your next racket.

This overview uses product and operation images. Follow the full operating instructions when stringing.

Every pull.
One less manual action.

The turntable locks automatically during every pull. There is no need to choose whether to lock it while pulling, so you can focus on routing and clamping the string.

Set up your stringing.
Right on the machine.

Set tension, pre-stretch and knot tension on the machine touchscreen. Check your settings in one place, then focus on the string in front of you.

Tension

Set the tension for this racket.

Choose the target tension to suit the racket and string. Adjust it from 11–75 lb in 0.1 lb increments, right on the machine.

0.1 lb is the setting increment, not a measured accuracy specification.

Pre-stretch

Choose pre-stretch before you pull.

Select pre-stretch on the touchscreen according to the racket, string and operating instructions. Check the setting before you begin.

The percentage shown illustrates the control, not a recommended setting for every string.

Knot tension

Keep the finishing settings at hand.

Adjust knot tension on the touchscreen to prepare for the finishing steps. Complete the knot by hand as instructed.

Knot tension adjustment does not mean automatic knot tying.

Then focus on each string.

Set target tension, pre-stretch and knot tension for the racket and string in front of you. The on-machine interface keeps the settings together for a check before you begin.

Set the height.
Find your rhythm.

Stringing involves repeated weaving, clamping and turning of the racket. Electric height adjustment lets you position the racket to suit the way you stand and work.

In the workshop

Make repeated steps
easier to manage.

Automatic locking during pulling removes a manual step, while the machine touchscreen keeps settings at hand. Work through pulling and clamping according to each racket’s requirements.

At the club

A last-minute restring.
An on-site option.

Equip your club with its own stringing setup. With a trained operator and compatible accessories, you have an on-site option when a racket needs new strings.

Fine settings.
For every pull.

Adjust target tension in 0.1 lb steps. A screw drive carries out the pull, with a low-retraction design to limit mechanism rollback. Electronic constant pull adjusts tension during the pull while you focus on weaving and clamping.

Set pre-stretch for the string.

Choose from four pre-stretch settings: 5%, 10%, 15% or 20%. Follow the string and racket requirements and your stringing procedure.

Set knot tension separately.

Set knot tension separately from target tension to prepare for the finishing steps. Tying the knots remains a manual operation.

Working height, net weight, power, voltage and clamp operation refer to the PS-Discovery manual dated 2026-07-28. The brand has confirmed the 11–75 lb tension range, current locking behavior and machine interface. The English product material illustrates synchronized mounting, rotating clamp bases, pre-stretch settings and tools. Other mechanism details are brand-supplied. 0.1 lb is a setting increment; refer to your order and supplied instructions for the purchased configuration.

Your questions,
answered upfront.

From your first string job to routine care and accessory support, get to know the details before choosing.

Can I use it without stringing experience?

Start by learning the full process. Mounting, weaving, clamping and knotting require correct technique; electronic tensioning and automatic locking assist specific steps. Read the manual and prepare the correct tools, string and racket instructions before practicing.

Do I need a separate machine for each racket sport?

One PS-Discovery supports tennis, badminton and squash rackets. Select tennis mode for tennis, and badminton mode for badminton or squash. Adjust the supports and clamps for the frame, and confirm the accessories against your order.

Which mode should I use for a squash racket?

Select badminton mode, then set tension, the stringing pattern and other parameters to suit the squash racket and string. Using badminton mode does not mean using badminton tension settings. Adjust the supports and clamps for the squash frame.

Are turntable locking and clamp-base release the same thing?

They are separate mechanisms. The turntable locks automatically during every pull; manual locking or unlocking is available only when not pulling. The clamp base releases when the clamp is lowered, and can also be released with its manual release button.

Can I currently adjust or save settings in an App?

App-based parameter viewing, adjustment and custom setting storage are not currently available. Use the on-machine touchscreen for now. These App features are planned for a future release; availability will be confirmed when released.

Does 0.1 lb describe actual tension accuracy?

It is the setting increment, such as changing from 28.0 to 28.1 lb. This describes the available adjustment steps, which are separate from measured tension error. Follow the required calibration procedure during use.

How much space should I allow?

Floor-to-racket working height is 110–125 cm and net weight is 50 kg. Check the current machine and base dimensions before installation. Leave room to turn the table, load and remove rackets, and stand comfortably.

Do self-lubricating rails make the whole machine maintenance-free?

Self-lubricating material works in the relevant rail parts. Clamp cleaning, machine inspection and tension calibration are still required according to the care instructions. Unplug before cleaning.

What should I check about power and after-sales support?

Confirm the correct 110V or 220V version, local plug type and installation requirements. Check included accessories, warranty coverage, spare-parts availability and repair-shipping arrangements for your order. Contact product support for tension-sensor faults or other abnormal warnings.
